How Much Does This Cost?

Our service is specifically designed to remain FREE to both Music Fans and the Bands & Artists. There may be external links to outside resources who may charge a fee for service or sell goods. However, your participation with us is strictly a "no purchase necessary" arrangement.  All we ask is that IF you have a CD available for sale consider the musicSUBMIT free trial, or if you already have it on CD Baby you'll allow us to add it to our Online Storefront. Additionally we specifically ask that you use our referral link(s) we provide you so that we're properly credited by our participating affiliate programs.

Can I Download Music?

No. Not from our site. We are not a track hosting site or a peer-to-peer file sharing server. We believe the Artist is due fair compensation for their efforts and strictly oppose illegal file sharing. However, the Artists may have tracks available on their site and we provide links to all participating Artists for you to learn more about them and hear more. Most Artists with an Audio CD available for sale have enabled a preview of select tracks that can be played in our Online Storefront, or simply click CSR Radio to obtain our ChemSet Podcast or just tune in to our station.

Why Are You Able To Do This For Free?

Because we're compensated by receiving a share of the Advertising Revenue, CD Baby pays us one dollar per CD sale, and payments from Affiliate Programs. We're also building a down-line (like friends on MySpace) we hope you'll become part of in a New Social Networking site that actually pays you as well! It is extremely important you create your new page via our referral link we provide you. See next Q&A below.

How Do I Get Paid?

Artists and Bands are paid as per the agreement you've entered into with musicSUBMIT or CD Baby for Audio CD sales.  Both Bands and Fans have the opportunity to get paid a share of the Advertising Revenue from the New Social Networking Site's payment arrangement. What If I'm Content With What I Already Do?

Our sole purpose of existence is to help you do more. MySpace, Purevolume, and the majority of all other Music and Social Networking Sites earn big money from the Advertising Revenue generated from page hits that were generated from content you put up for free. It's time to turn the tables around to your benefit and take your share from the page hits you and your fan base generate. Even if you don't sell a track, or a CD, or a t-shirt, you could earn just from the page visits to you and your Fans sites alone! Here's a New way for you to put your creative works to work for you! And Music Fans can earn the same way.

Are You A Record Label?

We are not currently operating as a traditional Record Label although we are capable of doing so should we find the right act. We are pro-Artist! And most record deals are not beneficial for the Artist. Instead of taking the rights to your music away from you and demanding you produce x amount of albums during your contract term, fulfill a grueling tour schedule, and recapture thousands of dollars in expenses before you see a dime,  we're trying something different. We're here to help you in a do-it-yourself atmosphere. We're positioning our self for the future as we see it unfold before our eyes. We'll help you navigate these changes along the way too.
